Whether buying or selling a home, or just to have a better understanding of your home’s condition, a home inspection may be the most important thing you can do. A home inspection is a visual, non-destructive examination of the systems of the house.

The inspection process will cover all of the readily accessible parts of the following systems: roofing, plumbing, electrical, structural, interior, exterior, heating and cooling. I usually spend 3 hours inspecting a single-family house, more if needed. After the inspection, normally within 48 hours, a report will be created and emailed to you.

The report will include photos and an explanation of the things that are considered significant defects or a safety concern. The report will also recommend a course of action to correct these defects. After you read the whole report, feel free to contact me if you have any unanswered questions.

If you’re buying a home, a home inspection can give you information about the condition of the property. You can use that information to help you decide if it’s the right house for you.
